In a tender held by the Municipality of Bandar Abbas in February 2012, Mokran Development and Construction Company managed to conclude a contract with the municipality as the winner of the tender. The main reason of the project was construction of grade separation and joining Shahid Rajaee Boulevard to Sirjan and Minab roads, in order to quick access and reducing the traffic load of adjacent axes. Construction of the this junction at the entrance of the northeast of Bandar Abbas and connecting the main highways of Sirjan, Minab and Bandar Abbas city to each other, leads to a lighter traffic flow of every kind of vehicles. The overall scope of the project is in the northeast of Bandar Abbas. The main structure of the bridge is located in the East to West connecting corridor of Hormozgan which is one of the distinctive features of this project. This regional-national scale project is done considering facilities and shortcomings of the status quo. This project consists of a two-span bridge and several ramps which constructed as a cloverleaf interchange due to more open environment and more distant from urban areas. Implementation of this project includes the construction, civil works such as drilling piles, excavation, embankment, reinforcement and concreting, Supply and installation of PRS walls and Asphalt.
